andy-0101 My name in Andrew Abraham. I have been investing in commodities and managed futures since 1994. I adhere to the philosophy of trend following. Trend following stresses a disciplined approach to commodity/ futures trading. Successful trend following and commodity futures investing requires patience, discipline and actively managing the risk. What sets me apart from other traders is that I am not only concerned about the return on investment but how much risk I will have to tolerate to achieve my goals.

Make Easy Money With Commodity Trading

In our world and plastered all over the internet is the idea that it is easy to make money. There are “Forex robots” and all types of mechanical systems for sale which make it seem that it is easy to make money in forex trading and commodity trading. These system sellers say it is not too difficult to make money in commodity or forex trading. Contrarily the true problem and reality is to keep it. Most of the people do not keep it. Most of the people who try to trade forex or commodities lose money. The statement ” Make easy money with commodity trading” can not be further from the truth. Trading commodities and forex is VERY HARD!

To many have been sold that proverbial snake oil that someone knows the future and will gladly share it with them for a price. No one knows the future. Not any guest on Bloomberg or CNBC. The only stepping stones to begin to profit in the commodity markets is having a well thought out plan that is robust & based on heavy risk management. Attributes such as self reliance, good judgement, courage, prudence, perseverance, patience, discipline and even humility are needed. These attributes are hard for most people. These attributes take time to nurture in a person.

There are no short cuts to success. Those that believe there is easy money out in the commodity markets are usually handed the harsh reality of losing money. Trading commodities is not retirement in a box. There are always draw downs and periods that are tough. However what I have experienced is that eventually these periods subside and some markets start to trend. You never know which markets will trend and you never know where you make money or lose money. The only thing you can do is have a plan that is robust and full of risk management and let the trades work out.
