Sea of Red
In todays markets we are seeing selloffs in virtually every market. For trend followers this has not been an easy month. Many trades are not working and are being exited. They are being offset by other markets and trend followers with a plan just keep on trying to put on low risk trades to see which trades work. The point however is to have a plan and have the discipline to follow it. How many investors are frozen and are undecided on what to do. Regardless if the trades work or do not work, if someone has a plan they know what they should be doing. Trend following is not retirement in a box. It is hard. You need to do your home work. You need to put on that trade after 8 trades in a row that do not work. What is also interesting on a day like this, it is also possible to make money. One can go long or short. The key is to be flexible, have a well thought out plan, have discipline and a heavy dose of risk management. Even with this however there are no promises of profits in the futures markets.
Trading futures and options involves substantial risk of loss no matter who is managing your money and is not suitable for all investors. Past performance is not indicative of future results
