Andrew Abraham

andy-0101 My name in Andrew Abraham. I have been investing in commodities and managed futures since 1994. I adhere to the philosophy of trend following. Trend following stresses a disciplined approach to commodity/ futures trading. Successful trend following and commodity futures investing requires patience, discipline and actively managing the risk. What sets me apart from other traders is that I am not only concerned about the return on investment but how much risk I will have to tolerate to achieve my goals.

There is More To Trend following Than Just Having a Strategy

There is More To Trend following Than Just Having a Strategy! Too many market participants never even concern themselves with the critical factor of having the proper mental state when trading.

With a proven, reliable and robust trend following strategy, you’ll have a map for your trading future and a guideline for your potential success. You’ll have a plan, but you need much more. Most traders out there just open a trading account and start trading, without a clue as to what they’re getting themselves into. Only a few of them have a trading strategy, and because of that, many of them fail.

Actually at least 70% will lose everything they invest. And only 11.5% of traders will actually succeed. That’s just slightly over 1 in 10. Not great odds. So why do all of these traders FAIL????

There are zillions of trading strategies and zillions of books. Yet most traders fail!

The problem is that trading strategies do NOT make a good trader. There’s more to trading that just having a strategy. Only time, knowledge, experience, and guidance can make you the trader you want to be. This is my point why I want to teach trend following. There is no magic system or indicators. The only thing close to a Holy Grail is a proper traders mindset.
This mindset is established with guidance from a mentor. I had several mentors and it still took me a long time to finally get it.

Finally “Get It” means to think in terms of probabilities, take low risk trades not risking more than 1% of my account size, realizing predicting is a waste of time, realizing there are no gurus, realizing I have to put on that next trade even if the last 6 or whatever number did not work, mitigating my expectations, making myself available for potential trades and so many issues that are really never covered in any trading or even trend following book.

I will be teaching a small group of traders every month who want to learn trend following. I will give my exact methodologies but the real value is having someone to help you with the mental aspects of trading. You have a choice, you can be like me that I bumbled and stumbled with my trading for almost a decade or have a mentor and learn what it possibly takes to succeed over time. Trend following is not easy nor is it retirement in a box. There will be draw downs as well as long periods you do not make money. Anyone telling you to the contrary is not being truthful. Trend following is a marathon! Do you have what it takes? Trend Following is not for everyone.
