Andrew Abraham

andy-0101 My name in Andrew Abraham. I have been investing in commodities and managed futures since 1994. I adhere to the philosophy of trend following. Trend following stresses a disciplined approach to commodity/ futures trading. Successful trend following and commodity futures investing requires patience, discipline and actively managing the risk. What sets me apart from other traders is that I am not only concerned about the return on investment but how much risk I will have to tolerate to achieve my goals.

Trend Following mindset

There are countless trading methodologies. Even in trend following you have different ways of getting into trades. Traders need to focus on the most important issue, the proper Trend following mindset.

Believe it or not

A proper Trend following mindset is a more important attribute for success rather than any methodology!

When Richard Dennis and William Eckhardt taught the turtles the whole course was 2 weeks. The majority of the time was focused on how to develop a trend following mindset. There is no magic to their system or to mine. The magic is instilling in both new and experienced traders discipline and patience.

It is hard to put on a trade in a market when your exact prior trade in that market did not work and you lost money. The proper trend following mindset is saying to yourself, I do not know the future and this last trade has nothing to do with this new trade.

One must do the difficult. Put that trade on after 8 losers in a row or whatever number.

I will be teaching a group of traders exactly how I trade and will teach them the essentials of a trend following mindset. This alone does not guarantee any profits or success. Trend following is like a marathon. You go through draw downs and long periods you might not make any money. Welcome to the realities of trend following. After my course there should not be any surprises. You will know you will go through draw downs and your worst draw down is always ahead of you.

PAST PERFORMANCE IS NOT NECESSARILY INDICATIVE OF FUTURE RESULTS. THE RISK OF LOSS IN TRADING COMMODITY FUTURES, OPTIONS, AND FOREIGN EXCHANGE (“FOREX”) IS SUBSTANTIAL.
