I wish Andy’s book would have been the first book I ever picked up on markets. It took me quite a number of years and experimentation before finally arriving at a trading process similar to what Andy lays out in the book. Perhaps reading this book first would have been a short cut of sorts. I have a list of essential books for recommending to people who ask about trading. The Trend Following Bible is now on that list.

Warnings presented early on and throughout the book are appreciated. Trading is not easy, and while he lays out a solid plan, Andy does a good job describing the losses that will be part of the process. One of the warnings is to be properly capitalized. This is important. Then the books lays out specific risk management tactics that can make up the core of a robust trading system.

I noted one reviewer giving this book a rating of two, questioning how the author obtained such high ratings before it was published, most of the ratings are based from Kindle purchases, the kindle version was released earlier for obvious reasons.

What I liked about this book about compared to a certain author, who has written a lot of trend following books, is that it tells you everything, unlike the other author; buy the book, get info from the book but not all then go to the website and all will be revealed in one of the courses, costing in access of $1000 upwards. In this book, the author has parted all of his knowledge of many years managing a trendfollowing fund, yes managing a fund, unlike some other author(s); if you can you do, if you cant you teach!

I have been following this author for a couple of months now, the info he parts on his website or via social media, I view as honest, beneficial and extremely help-full. I would highly recommend this book, but be warned, do not read it once, read it a couple of times, its jam packed with good information and tips and I believe if one follows his approach, trend following success is a given.
