Andrew Abraham

andy-0101 My name in Andrew Abraham. I have been investing in commodities and managed futures since 1994. I adhere to the philosophy of trend following. Trend following stresses a disciplined approach to commodity/ futures trading. Successful trend following and commodity futures investing requires patience, discipline and actively managing the risk. What sets me apart from other traders is that I am not only concerned about the return on investment but how much risk I will have to tolerate to achieve my goals.

Becoming a Trend Follower is a Process..

Becoming a trend follower is a process and an ongoing one. It is never easy…and brings a great of introspection. No one is born an excellent trend follower. They only become a consistent surviving trend follower if they work on their education…Education being about themselves and trading psychology…Not looking for the latest and not greatest indicator or system… Mistake after mistake and learning from these mistakes they become better trend followers.

I write this blog and teach traders because it truly helps me. I see all the mistakes and things not to do. I see traders beat themselves up. They are extremely hard on themselves. What I try to teach is to learn from every mistake…

In each mistake there is a valuable learning lesson. This takes away the long hours across from a computer. I work from 6am many times to 10 pm. I have breaks to be balance and do sports…

Balance is part of the keys of successful trend following.

More than 90% of all traders fail! The 10% who survive and potentially succeed are the ones that invested a great deal of time on self introspection, learning from mistakes, being committed, having discipline, having courage and patience.

None of these attributes are taught at a one time weekend seminar…

Trend following is not retirement in a box…

Past performance is not indicative of future performance
