My name in Andrew Abraham. I have been investing in commodities and managed futures since 1994. I adhere to the philosophy of trend following.
Trend following stresses a disciplined approach to commodity/ futures trading. Successful trend following and commodity futures investing requires patience, discipline and actively managing the risk. What sets me apart from other traders is that I am not only concerned about the return on investment but how much risk I will have to tolerate to achieve my goals.

Trading mistakes are common in commodity and forex trading. I became involved with my partners in order to learn from the mistakes of other commodity traders (and plenty of my own mistakes). In my opinion after being involved in commodity trading and trend following the basis of trading mistakes all boil down to three issues. Ed Seykota has said that we all get out of the markets what we want. What does he mean by this? Some people want excitement but hopefully you want to succeed and compound your money. This is what I want to continue to do. As I have repeatedly stated… commodity trading is the easiest yet the hardest thing one can ever do. Too many aspiring commodity traders or forex traders search for the holy grail. They search for indicators…mechanical trading systems or basically the answers. |
